The Pokémon Company recently announced the release date for the remainder of Pokémon Journeys.
According to the company, the last batch of 12 episodes for the current anime series will premiere on March 5 in the U.S., only on Netflix.
Pokémon Journeys centers around Ash and Goh's travels across the Pokemon world, as they conduct research for Professor Cerise at the Cerise Laboratory. Ash seeks to travel the world and see sights, while Goh intends to catch every Pokémon in the world -- especially the legendary Pokémon Mew, which he saw as a child. Pokémon Journeys is based on multiple games in the Pokémon video game series, particularly Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
In addition to the final episodes of Pokémon Journeys, a new movie titled Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle will be released in 2021. Secrets of the Jungle finds Ash and Pikachu encountering the legendary Pokémon Zarude, who lives in a massive forest. Zarude has also taken a human boy named Koko under his wing -- with Koko behaving like he is an actual Pokémon as a result.
