10 Arcanine

Arcanine is the Pokémon for dog-lovers. This giant fluffy dog is big enough to ride like a horse! Like dogs, they are known for their courage and loyalty. They evolve with a Fire Stone on a Growlithe. Oddly enough, it is called the "legendary Pokémon" on the Pokédex despite it not being a legendary or even a pseudo-legendary.

9 Flareon

Eevee and its evolutions are among the most popular tattoos of the Pokémon fandom. They are fan favorites and Flareon has been around since the first generation, so its super nostalgic. Fans particular love Flareon for how fluffy its fur looks.

What fans love about all the Eevee designs is that they are cute, having a mix of cat and fox-like qualities with their little noses and large ears. According to the person who got this design, this particular Flareon was tattooed by Rochelle Tatum Tattoo.

8 Torchic

Among Fire-types are starters. Every region as the player pick their first Pokémon between Fire, Grass, and Water-type. This is part of why Fire-types are so popular. They are easy to get attached to if you choose one as your first. Torchic is one such starter in the third generation.

This arm tattoo was done by the self-taught artist, Eric Adorno, from Texas. His portfolio has a little bit of everything from skulls to cacti and hannya masks.

7 Entei

Done by Russell Van Schaick, this water color tattoo of the legendary Entei puts the Pokémon in an epic perspective. The way it gazes down gives the impression of its enormous figure. The roar with the red eyes is quite intimidating as well.

Entei is a legendary from the second generation. For older fans, it is remembered in a movie where it replaced a little girls' dad for a while. It was a very strange film.

6 Ninetails

Like Arcanine, Ninetails is an evolution that requires a Fire Stone. Its design is based off of the Shinto creature from Japanese folklore, kitsune. The more tails these fox creatures have, the more powerful they are, and nine is a lot!

The water-color design of the fire is beautiful. The tattoo was done by self-proclaimed otaku/geek, chibstattoo. Other Pokémon they've done tattoos of include Mr. Mime, Ekans, Rowlet, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Lucario, Gengar, Mewtwo, and Mew.

5 Houndoom

Houndoom is a Pokémon loved for its dark and edgy design. It is based on the folklore of hellhounds, which is pretty dark for a Pokémon! Not only is it Fire-type, but it is also Dark-type.  According to the person who got this design, this Houndoom was made by Pete at TCB Tattoos in Toronto.

The tattoo cleverly combines the modern Pokémon with the neo-traditional style of tattoos. Like that traditional style, it uses bright and saturated colors.

4 Mega Charziard

Charizard is one of the most popular Pokémon of all time, not just out of Fire-types. It dates back to the first generation and resembles a dragon. Due to how popular it is, the games give Charizard a lot of love when new mechanics are announced. One such mechanic was mega-forms. Charizard got two kinds: its X and Y forms.

Fans fell in love with its X form due to its blue and black design. Someone loved it enough to get a tattoo! According to the one who got the design, the artist is Cat Fleitas from Florida.

3 Cyndaquil

Done by Scotland-based artist, Chris Morris, this adorable Cyndaquil and flower are one of many of his pop culture designs. He has also done  Pokémon like Eevee, Arcanine, Squirtle, Charizard, Pumpkaboo, and Charmander.

Cyndaquil, like Torchic, is a Fire-type starter. Except Cyndaquil is from the second generation in Johto. It is one of the more popular choices, as many finds find its design cute.

2 Ponyta And Rapidash

Why just get one Fire-type tattoo when you can have two? Some fans like to show evolutions in their tattoos, like this one. Ponyta revolves into Rapidash, and they look great together. Both are from the first generation and have had a boost in popularity since they got a region variant in the Sword and Shield games. However, that variant isn't Fire-type.

This design was made by Ontario based artist, Neil Tavares. His other Pokémon works include Pikachu, Snorlax, Raichu, Kangaskan, Poliwhirl, Blastoise, Bulbasaur, Flygon, and Ninetails.

1 Tepig

Tepig is another Fire-type starter and was introduced in the Black and White games. As its name and design suggest, it is based off of pigs. The design of this tattoo decided to take that to the next level and graph the body like a the posters that show where certain meats come from.

The tattoo was done by Jessica Channer. Her specialty is tattoos that feature cartoons, games, and everything cute.
