In Episode 118 of the Pokémon anime, "The Double Trouble Header," fans were introduced to Casey, a spunky new trainer from New Bark Town. She's also a big baseball fan who loves the Electabuzz team. As such, she has a love for yellow Pokémon, especially those with stripes.

Casey hopes to one day have a team full of yellow Pokémon with stripes. It would be all the better if one of them was an Electabuzz. That sounds like a narrow pool of options, and it gets even smaller going by what the Pokédex defines as "yellow" Pokémon, but it is doable. Here's an idea of what Casey's team might look like if she followed her own criteria for choosing Pokémon.

Pokemon Casey team

The first thing to keep in mind is what Pokémon are already in Casey's possession. Her starter Pokémon was a Chikorita, which she's taken the time to evolve evolved into a Meganium. While it's not on theme, it's her first Pokémon, so she'll probably keep it on her team no matter what. Funnily enough, the Cyndaquil line is the only Johto starter line that the Pokédex classifies as yellow.

Casey was also seen with a Pidgey and a Rattata in Episode 118. These Pokémon are neither yellow nor striped, but she probably caught them anyway since she was just starting out at the time. Neither of them has been seen since Episode 118, so they were likely just meant to temporarily fill out her team until she caught more Pokémon.

In the time since her debut episode, Casey has been shown with at least a couple of her ideal Pokémon. In Episode 161, "The Bug Stops Here," Ash gave her a Beedril he caught in the Bug-Catching Contest. In Episode 261, "Here's Lookin' at You, Elekid," she managed to catch an Elekid, which she likely intends to evolve into an Electabuzz. This leaves her with two yellow, striped Pokémon out of a possible five.

Casey also mentions having a Rapidash and a Magmar in Pokémon Chronicles Episode 17, "Those Darn Electabuzz!" However, since they're only brought up in the English dub of this episode and never shown on screen, they won't be counted as a part of her final team. For the record, however, Rapidash is classified as yellow while Magmar is red.

Going by the 251 Pokémon that existed when Casey was introduced, there should be a few more options to fill out her team. Besides Electabuzz, she's also been shown to have an interest in Pikachu; this interest would likely extend to its evolution Raichu, who also qualifies as yellow. To stay on theme, she could also catch herself an Ampharos, a Sunkern, and a Dunsparce. Raikou is also technically an option, but it's probably out of her league. As long as she's not picky about repeating types or unevolved Pokémon, putting together a full party with her favorite color scheme shouldn't be an issue.

If Casey ever returns to the anime, there are a few more yellow, striped Pokémon she could catch from beyond Generation II. Her options include Mothim, Vespiquen, Chingling Galvantula, Dedenne, and Boltund. It's hard to say how she'd feel about Electivire; assuming she gets an Electabuzz, she'd probably avoid evolving it unless her team changed its name to the Electivires. With all these additional choices, she could catch herself six of her preferred Pokémon and then some.

Pokemon Shiny Giratina

In an ideal world where Shiny and Legendary Pokémon are reasonable options, Casey could broaden her horizon even further. Going by the first 251 Pokémon, Shiny Lickitung, Growlithe, or Arcanine could also fit on her team; Arcanine would work especially well for how much its stripes resemble those of Electabuzz. she could also add Shiny Lickilicky, Shiny Groudon, or Shiny Giratina to her dream team. Shiny Legendary Pokémon might be a stretch, but she would probably still be thrilled by the possibility.

If Casey ever comes back to the anime, it would be nice to see her with the remaining half of her team filled out with yellow, striped Pokémon. Whether she only catches Pokémon from the first two regions or takes advantage of the latest Pokédex entries, her options are wide and varied. Maybe she'll even catch that Shiny Arcanine.
