The remastered edition of the PlayStation-exclusive title Marvel's Spider-Man is officially set to swing onto PC.

As announced during PlayStation's State of Play presentation on June 2, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered will be released for PC later this year on Friday, Aug. 12. Additionally, a PC version of the spinoff game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is due to release sometime in the fall. The PC ports of Insomniac Games' popular PlayStation titles come courtesy of Nixxes Software.

"We're grateful to our PlayStation Studios partner studio Nixxes Software for fully optimizing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PC," Insomniac Games Head of Franchise Strategy & Studio Relations Ryan Schneider wrote on the official PlayStation Blog. "Our production team has been thrilled with Nixxes’ collaborative spirit and commitment to quality. We see a lot of ourselves when working with Nixxes."

Developed by Insomniac and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel's Spider-Man originally released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on Sept. 7, 2018. The game was a massive hit, becoming Sony's fastest-selling first-party title in history and being met with critical acclaim.

Spider-Man Remastered released exclusively for the PlayStation 5 on Nov. 12, 2020 -- the same day Spider-Man: Miles Morales released for the PS4 worldwide and for the PS5 in North America and Australasia. That said, Spider-Man Remastered is only available on PS5 through the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales. The remastered version of Marvel's Spider-Man includes the full game and its downloadable content, plus updated visuals, as well as new suits, new trophies and new additions to photo mode.

A sequel, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, is slated to launch for the PS5 in 2023. The game will feature the return of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as well as the introduction of Venom. Insomniac is also working on Marvel's Wolverine, a standalone title focusing on the eponymous Marvel mutant set in the same universe as the Spider-Man games. That said, Sony has yet to announce a release window for Wolverine.

Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel's Spider-Man is currently available for the PlayStation 4, while Spider-Man Remastered is available for the PlayStation 5. The remastered edition releases for PC on Aug. 12.
