Sony revealed the official install size for Sucker Punch Production's upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut.

Based on a listing found on the PlayStation StoreGhost of Tsushima: Director's Cut will require a minimum of 60GB free space. That size requirement relates to the game's install size after downloading; it's likely that the game's actual download size will be slightly larger. While 60GB is a relatively standard size for most AAA games, PlayStation 5 players are no doubt sweating as they watch their console's SSD quickly fill up.

In comparison, the original Ghost of Tsushima required 50GB of space on the PlayStation 4. The size of the game has increased since its launch due to several large updates, including Legends of Tsushima, a dedicated co-op multiplayer mode. Given Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut's extra content, it stands to reason that this expanded version of the game will require more storage space.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut introduces a variety of new content to Sucker Punch's open-world samurai game. Players can expect new enemies, armor, mini-games and, most significantly, the introduction of Iki, an entirely new location that houses a new single-player expansion. PlayStation 5 owners can also expect several significant technical upgrades, including a dynamic 4K resolution, 3D audio support and frame rate boosts.

In discussing what players can expect from the island of Iki, Sucker Punch said, "In this new story, Jin travels to the island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence. But soon, he finds himself caught up in events with deeply personal stakes that will force him to relive some traumatic moments from his past."

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut launches for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on Aug. 20, 2021. Fans who already own Ghost of Tsushima for PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the Director's Cut version for $20.
