The PlayStation Store has made a free theme for the PlayStation 4, featuring a design inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

The theme was shared on the official PlayStation Twitter account with the caption, "Show your support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement with this new PS4 theme, out now for free at PS Store." It features a black background with yellow accents and a yellow barrier that forms the Black Lives Matter symbol. The free theme is available to download for free at the PS Store and the PlayStation app, as well as Playstation's official website.

The PlayStation 4 recently underwent a software upgrade as the launch of the PlayStation 5 approaches. Among the new updates are upgraded parental controls and new avatars. The chat and party functions have also seen an upgrade as well. There has been no word on whether the PlayStation 5 will feature customizable themes like the PlayStation 4, though players will be able to transfer their games and other data to the PlayStation 5.

The Black Lives Matter movement was founded to combat racial injustice and police brutality. It saw a resurgence in May following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers. Several companies have made financial donations to the movement, including game studios like Square Enix and Wizards of the Coast.

PlayStation 5 goes on sale on Nov. 12. The Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive version will retail for $499 USD, while the Digital Edition without a disc drive will retail for $399.
