Among the gaming titles available on the soon to be released PlayStation 5 console, Fortnite, the incredibly popular online shooter, takes the most advantage of the platform's advanced hardware processing capabilities.

As part of Sony's PlayStation 5 showcase, they released a gameplay trailer of Fortnite running on PS5's hardware. As seen in the gameplay below, when running on PS5's Unreal Engine 4, Fortnite offers crisper resolution, significantly further draw distances and plenty of epic, explosive action without visible signs of the game slowing down.

Epic Games confirmed Fortnite will be available for gamers on PS5's Nov. 12th launch, letting players jump right into action on day one of Sony's latest console.

In addition to being a free upgrade at launch, individual player progression and preexisting purchases will be available for players immediately as they transition to PS5, making the shooter's move to the next generation as seamless as possible for gamers.

Developed by Epic Games, Fortnite is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. PS5's version of Fortnite will be available instantly on the console's launch date, Nov. 12.
