Attracting fans of action anime as well as anyone who's checked out the source material's creators' previous works, it's no surprise that it's quickly become a big deal in the streaming circuit. The Plot of Platinum End
Platinum End is about orphaned teenager Mirai Kakehashi, who lives a despondent life with his abusive aunt and uncle. After trying to end his own life, he's stopped by Nasse, his guardian angel. Given supernatural powers by the angel, Mirai exacts justice upon his aunt and uncle, though these aren't the extent of these abilities' usage.
Mirai soon learns that he's now entered into a sort of tournament that will decide who becomes the successor of God. The other candidates have powers similar to Mirai's, although this is where their similarities end. Determined to replace God at all costs, these beings will do anything to secure their victory, with neither Mirai nor anyone else standing in their way. This makes their violent ambitions a threat to both Mirai as well as the world at large as it's caught in the crossfire of a battle to become divine.
Where to Read the Platinum End Manga
The Platinum End manga began in 2015 in Jump Comics SQ, and it's the creation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Although they might not necessarily be household names, their works are beloved among anime and manga fans. These include the series Bakuman and especially Death Note, the latter of which is still fondly remembered by Adult Swim fans everywhere.
Platinum End ran from 2015 to early 2021, with all of its chapters being compiled into 14 manga volumes.
