In China, Soul continues an impressive box office run that puts it further and further ahead of of Wonder Woman 1984.

Soul has grossed $36.1 million at the Chinese box office. This is noticeably ahead of the $25.5 million Chinese box office total of Wonder Woman 1984, as well as the $32.6 million total the film has accumulated to date domestically.

Online ticketing platform Maoyan projects Soul to finish its Chinese box office run with $49 million, making it the third-biggest Pixar title in China behind Incredibles 2 ($51.5 million) and Coco ($189.2 million). In all, Soul has grossed $47.3 million at the worldwide box office.

Soul has also proven fruitful in its domestic launch on Disney+. It was previously reported that Soul was one of the most-watched streaming titles of 2020, only behind Wonder Woman 1984 and Hamilton. It has also been reported that 2.3 million Disney+ mobile apps were installed worldwide over Soul's opening weekend of Dec. 25-27, a 28% increase in downloads over the previous weekend.

Directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers, Soul stars Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs and Angela Bassett. The film is currently available on Disney+.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film is now in theaters and on HBO Max.
