The latest Pixar film Onward is coming soon, and the acclaimed animation studio has released a new wave of posters spotlighting the movie's main characters.
The posters highlight the film's protagonists, siblings Barley and Ian, who set out on a mythical quest to restore their magically resurrected father's full form. The posters also include the brothers' mother, the legendary Manticore, who helps the duo on its quest, and several fantastical police officers who pursue the brothers as their adventure escalates.
The film's trailers have revealed that upon Ian's 16th birthday, the teenage elf uses a spell to reunite with his departed dad, only for the spell to leave his bottom -- but still sentient -- torso. Ian and Barley then set out to complete the spell and spend one last day with their dad, leading to all sorts of magical hijinks.
The film was officially announced by Pixar in 2018, reuniting longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland to voice the elven brothers in one of the studio's most offbeat premises yet.
Written and directed by Dan Scanlon, Pixar's Onward stars Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer. It opens in theaters on March 6, 2020.
