If you couldn't get enough of ghost sharks or a CG de-aged Johnny Depp in last week's domestic trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," then you're in luck: The Japanese trailer has arrived.

A full minute shorter than the earlier version, this teaser hones in on the action and humor Disney's blockbuster franchise is known for, while also leaving room to establish the history between Depp's Jack Sparrow and Javier Bardem's Captain Salazar, which fuels the latter's vendetta -- not to mention the plot of the fifth installment of the series.

In "Dead Men Tell No Tales," Jack Sparrow is pursued by old rival Captain Salazar, who has escaped from the Devil’s Triangle with his ghost crew, and is now determined to kill every pirate at sea. To defeat him, Jack must seek the Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that grants whoever possesses it total control of the sea.

Directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg from a script by Jeff Nathanson, the film also stars Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa, Brenton Thwaites Henry, Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Golshifteh Farahani as the sea-witch Shansa, David Wenham as Scarfield, Stephen Graham as Scrum and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. They’re also expected to be joined by Keira Knightley, who reprises her role as Elizabeth Swann.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” arrives May 26 in North America, and June 1 in Japan.
