Created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman, Doctor Fate debuted in 1940's More Fun Comics #55. Kent Nelson was the first Doctor Fate, who obtained the Helmet of Fate. He is one of DC's most powerful sorcerers and has appeared in the Young Justice animated series for Cartoon Network and DC Universe, along with the Injustice video games.

Brosnan is a veteran film actor, with one of his most prominent roles coming in the James Bond film franchise.

The first photos for Black Adam were recently shared online, featuring a pair of sets being constructed. The first photo showed wood being crafted together to form some type of structure. There is one larger piece next to a smaller part of the set for the two to possibly be connected. As for the second photo, the set is much further put together than the first. It looks like a possible building with a large opening next to a smaller one.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, Pierce Brosnan, Marwan Kenzari and Sarah Shahi. The film has yet to receive a release date.
