Days before Wonder Woman 1984 is set to debut in the United States, an old photo shoot that depicts Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman before the actress even booked the role resurfaced.

Israeli photographer Moses Pini Siluk recently told The Times of Israel, "I presented Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in a shoot for Sheva Leylot [Seven Nights] magazine seven years before she was considered for the role."

"Back then she was a rising star in Israel with a dream and fierce determination," he added. "She was flying around the world working and taking care of her family, and to me that triggered the idea of superhero. And she was more than happy to pose for the portrait. Neither of us realized we were capturing what lay ahead."

In Siluk's photo, Gadot is wearing a red, long-sleeved shirt, red and white short-shorts, tall black boots and a gold belt reminiscent of the one historically worn by Wonder Woman. The photo also shows Gadot holding a golden lasso while posing in a warrior stance in front of a version of California's Hollywood sign that is set on fire.

News of the photo shoot comes days after HBO Max decided to share the opening scene from Wonder Woman 1984 ahead of the Christmas Day release. In the scene, fans get a look at Diana Prince's childhood on the island of Themyscira. It was also recently revealed that the sequel already sits at an impressive 86 percent on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer. CBR's review by Meagan Damore also declares that, in Wonder Woman 1984, "Gadot adds world-weary layers to the character that weren't present in the first film" and that Diana Prince "feels older, with Gadot meticulously shouldering the weight of her character's sense of loss and responsibility."
