There's no doubt that the kids in Phineas and Ferb are all incredibly smart. When it comes to the boys and their group of friends, each person brings a different type of intelligence to the series. And with this, they each contribute in different ways to the projects they work on all summer.
Other characters on the show demonstrate their knowledge in similar ways, by showing their strength in a specific field. While some characters seem to be well-rounded, others appear to struggle with or simply not have vital characteristics, impacting their intelligence as a whole.
12 Ferb Truly Has It All
The reason Ferb is in the top spot is that he utilizes both his textbook smarts and his people skills. Ferb isn't just intelligent when it comes to calculations, formulas, and problem-solving. He also has a charismatic side and seems to be very in tune with his emotions and those around him. Even better, he also always has a prescient plan mapped out for even the most unlikely events.
11 Isabella Is On Ferb's Level
Isabella, too, has multiple varieties of intelligence at play in her character. While her crush on Phineas isn't hidden that well, she knows how to play it cool in almost every other matter.
Not only that but Isabella is a born leader, a brilliant listener, and her Fireside Girls knowledge has saved everyone more than a few times.
10 Phineas Is Absolutely Intelligent
There's no doubt that Phineas is one of the smartest people on the show. He comes up with almost all of their daily projects. But the reason he's below Ferb and Isabella is that his intelligence is more focused on the technical aspects of things. Phineas is missing just a touch of the people and communication skills that the other two have, even if Ferb talks a lot less than his brother.
9 Perry The Platypus Has Everything But The Voice
If Perry could talk, the stories he would share would be compelling on every level. Keeping a secret identity for so long is an extremely challenging task. And when he has slipped up, he's always found some way to cover his tracks before anyone found out. Also, Perry is a secret agent who specializes in thwarting an evil genius. Mastering all of his super-spy skills requires a lot of brains, in addition to his surprising brawn.
8 Doofenshmirtz's Machines Are Truly Impressive
Yes, he can't tell the difference between Perry in and out of disguise but Heinz Doofenshmirtz's machines, er, his 'inators' are truly interesting and, brilliant. Somehow, he repeatedly finds an impossible concept and makes it work. While these devices may not always work in the way he wanted, there's always a finished product to some degree. However, his inability to learn basic lessons coupled with his self-defeating behaviors keeps him from reaching the show's upper echelons. He's a genius buried inside of a fool.
7 Vanessa Sees All
From her introduction early in the series, Vanessa Doofenshmirtz seems to see everything for what it is. From her dad's most secret schemes to the boys' and their friends' projects, it's like there's nothing she doesn't know.
Vanessa's knowledge of what everyone is up to pushes her into a top spot because it doesn't take much for her to put some pieces together. Not only that, but she's a friend who knows what the other people in her life need the most.
6 Baljeet And Buford Are Peas In A Pod
Honestly, you can't have one member of this team without the other. These two have the opposite types of intelligence from the other. Baljeet has the book smarts and Buford has the people smarts. Though Buford isn't always the best at using what he's got, Baljeet isn't either. The two bring out the best in each other and make up for what the other is missing. Intriguingly, Baljeet seems to outshine the brothers in some areas, and they seem to need his help in matters related to pure math and interdimensional travel.
5 Candace Investigates Like Sherlock Holmes
Even when she's running around frantically, upset over what her brothers are building, Candace has exceptional investigation skills. It's not her fault these gizmos and gadgets magically disappear every time she's close to busting her bros. She does her best to work with others, but sometimes she can be a little behind on how her friends may be feeling in certain situations. But in spite of being a little slow in this regard, her emotional intelligence does kick in eventually and helps her make the right decisions.
4 Stacy Steps In For Candace
Stacy is an interesting character. At a quick glance, she seems to just be a best friend side character. Sometimes this is her role, but she's also Candace's number one supporter.
As a true best friend, Stacy pushes Candace to be her best. And though the two can get themselves into trouble, Stacy isn't afraid to step up when necessary. Her intelligence shines when she's with Candace.
3 Carl Is The Best Intern For Major Monogram's Agency
Carl meshes well with Major Monogram's antics. Though he may have to remind the Major that his goofiness doesn't always help the Agents, the two bring out the best in each other. Carl is able to work on his skills and likes to soak up information from his companions. And the Major, though he is a bit out there at times, is full of valuable experience that guides Carl.
2 Jeremy Knows Enough To Help Out
Jeremy is smart, though maybe not as smart as the others. However, he always seems to know enough to lend a hand. He actively helps out Phineas and Ferb when he can and isn't afraid to volunteer himself for some of their scarier projects. Jeremy is the character who is focused on helping those around him achieve their goals while also working to achieve his own. And if that means he can lend a hand, he absolutely will. If he could only see that his sister, Susie, is a monster, then he'd be well on his way to brilliance.
1 Linda Flynn and Lawrence Fletcher Try Their Best
The boys' parents try their best but they miss out on the biggest clues to the secret world surrounding them. They're present when needed and know what they need to know. They've stumbled into Phineas and Ferbs builds a couple of times, mainly without realizing they were created by their kids. When they do realize what's happened, they usually know enough to be proud of the work their kids do. They may be a bit oblivious to what actually goes on behind the scenes, but for adults in this kid-dominated world, they're not completely clueless.
