Another major film has pushed back its release date due to coronavirus fears. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, which was slated for release at the end of March in Europe and on April 3 in the United States, has moved its release date to Aug. 7.

According to THR, Sony's decision to move the release date was also due to Trolls moving up its release to April 10, the weekend that was vacated by the aforementioned No Time To Die. Since Peter Rabbit 2 is an international release, Sony felt it best to hold it off until August. The first film in the franchise made $236 million internationally, indicating there is clearly an audience overseas.

The postponement of Peter Rabbit 2 comes after the epidemic has caused some major disruptions to the theater-going experience across the globe. In fact, the worldwide box office is estimated to lose an astounding $5 billion due to theaters closing their doors and would-be moviegoers avoiding public gatherings.

Peter Rabbit 2 is only the second major film to move its release, but with the growing concern of coronavirus, it may not be the last.

Directed by Will Gluck, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway stars James Corden, Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne, Aimee Horne, Colin Moody, Elizabeth Debicki and David Oyelowo. The film arrives in theaters Aug. 7.
