Peter Pan-Themed TV Drama League of Pan Taking Flight

With J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan now firmly ensconced in the public domain, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up has never been more popular with screenwriters and producers. The miniseries Neverland aired on television just last year, and there are no fewer than three feature films in development. But Hollywood's not finished with him yet.

According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV are teaming up for The League of Pan, a fairy tale-themed drama that follows the Lost Boys in the present day -- 10 years after they left Neverland. In Barrie's original play and novel, the Lost Boys were infants who had fallen out of their carriages or otherwise been misplaced by their nannies; if after seven days they hadn't been reclaimed, they were taken away to Neverland where they lived with Peter Pan.

The project is based on an idea by Brian McCauley Johnson, who will co-write the pilot script. A search is now on for a showrunner.
