When we last saw Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," he was being hauled away for illegally selling his weapons to enemies of the United States. This came after Mystique thwarted Magneto from assassinating President Nixon, thus increasing the American public's acceptance of mutants and ceasing operations for the Sentinel program.

Trask also popped up in a mid-credits scene on the subsequent "Rogue Cut" edition of Bryan Singer's 2014 film, revealed to be held captive below the Pentagon in the same prison cell where we see Magneto earlier in the film. But his story wasn't originally supposed to end there either. An Imgur originally spotted by ComicBook.com reveals Bartol Rendulic's concept art for this summer's "X-Men: Apocalypse", which shows several closeups of Trask's ankle bracelet. It's unknown exactly what role Peter Dinklage's character would have played in the film, but it's safe to say he would have still been imprisoned, at least at the start. Does this mean there's a deleted scene with Dinklage out there, perhaps one that will show up in an alternate cut of the movie? We may find out when "X-Men: Apocalypse" comes out on Digital HD on September 9. The Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD releases arrive on October 4.
