Alfred's country needs him.
In the latest teaser trailer for Pennyworth, the prequel series following Batman's loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, the former British SAS soldier finds an employer in American billionaire Thomas Wayne. Before Alfred makes that fateful meeting, though, a voiceover narration insists England is at war with itself: "You know what this country needs? Love. This great nation of ours is at war with itself. I need you. Your country needs you."
