Featured on the cover of the July/August issue of Mad Movies, Bill Skarsgård's Pennywise appears front and center with a blood-splattered chin, and clearly withholding a secret. The new issue of the French magazine includes an exclusive new preview of the upcoming film.

A new adaptation of the 986 horror novel, It tells the tale of a group of misfit children who come together one summer to confront the mysterious, shape-shifting monster that’s plagued their town, most frequently in the form of a clown named Pennywise. The story was previously adapted in 1990 as a television miniseries starring Tim Curry as the iconic clown. It is planned as two films, with the first centering on the children and their first encounter with Pennywise, and the second focusing on their later confrontation with the monster.
