Penny-Farthing Press Looks Forward To SPX

Houston, TX - Penny-Farthing Press (PFP) is proud to announce special booth events at SPX 2006 in Bethesda, Maryland. Along with Expo exclusives, PFP will showcase two graphic novels and offer a preview of a new historical adventure graphic novel series. Fans will have an opportunity to review and purchase these items before they will be available in stores.

Penny-Farthing Press is very excited to be attending SPX for the first time and looks forward to meeting fans and fellow small-press publishers,² states PFP Editor-in-Chief, Marlaine Maddux. ³With the expanding popularity of graphic novels, SPX is the perfect venue for us to display our books.²

All SPX attendees will be able to stock up on Penny-Farthing Press merchandise at reduced prices. Children¹s books and select graphic novels will be sold for ten dollars each. Penny-Farthing Press will gladly offer additional discounts to participating retailers.

Two of PFP¹s most popular graphic novels, Stuart Moore¹s PARA and Captain Gravity and the Power of the Vril will be showcased. Limited quantities of Anne Steelyard: The Garden of Emptiness previews, signed by bestselling author Barbara Hambly, will be available as well. Barbara Hambly (The Emancipator¹s Wife, the Benjamin January mysteries) and break out artist Alex Kosakowski, have both signed to work on PFP¹s upcoming Anne Steelyard graphic novel series. It is a historical and mystical adventure following the struggles of a female archeologist in pre-World War I Mesopotamia.

Decoy: Menagerie, Part 2 Anthology, the follow-up to the popular 2005 installment will be available to diehard Decoy enthusiasts as well as curious newcomers. Fans and retailers will be able to purchase these titles at the convention even before the books will be solicited through major book distributors.
