Penn State University has put out a call for submissions for an upcoming anthology of graphic novels and comics related to coronavirus (COVID-19), set to be released in early 2021. This curated anthology is looking for short comics that speak to the experience of living through the pandemic which has changed daily life for nearly every person across the globe, and the call for submissions requests comics on a broad range of topics about this unprecedented global situation.

According to the press release from Penn State University Press this anthology is meant to be, "For those of us who look to comics as a way to think things through in times of uncertainty, to comprehend and to empathize." This anthology release will be the kick-off publication coinciding with the launch of Graphic Mundi Imprint of Penn State University Press.

In exchange for donations in the form of comics and stories, Penn State plans to donate the net profits from the sales of the book to organizations that support artists and comic retailers. However, the details of these donations and where the money will go to have not been finalized and will be updated in the future.

Contributers looking to submit their work to this anthology have until June 1st, 2020. More information on how to do so can be found on the Penn State University Press Website.
