Actor Freddie Stroma revealed what he believes to be Adrian Chase/Vigilante's most vulnerable moment in Peacemaker.

In an interview with /Film, Stroma was asked about Vigilante's most vulnerable moment. The actor said that there were a few, but he specifically singled out a conversation between Vigilante and Christopher Smith/Peacemaker (John Cena) when in a car after escaping from the police and killing the wrong person. "It is definitely a moment where he is having a heart to heart and saying,'What's going on? You're changing and I don't understand it,'" Stroma explained. "You have little moments like that where you're like, 'Okay, he's not just the clown.' You start to see a little bit more to the core of who he is."

Created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, the Chase version of Vigilante first appeared in 1982's New Teen Titans #23. The comic book version of the character is a former district attorney that turns into an anti-hero in pursuit of justice. However, the Peacemaker version of Vigilante makes pretty major changes to the character, instead turning him into a more violent person willing to uphold the law at any cost.

Set after 2021's The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker sees the titular vigilante teaming up with A.R.G.U.S. and his friend, Vigilante, to stop an invasion of butterfly-like aliens. At the same time, they're forced to contend with Auggie Smith/White Dragon, Peacemaker's supervillainous and racist father. While Vigilante did survive the show's finale, it's unclear at this time what shape he'll be in when the show returns for Season 2.

However, that critical score makes Peacemaker the best-reviewed DCEU project on the aggregator.
