Peacemaker creator James Gunn shared an impressive recreation of the HBO Max series' opening dance number.

Set to Peacemaker's theme song, "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam, the video depicts a large group recreating the show's opening credits dance, performed by the FBS Dance Squad at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.

Gunn previously described the opening dance number as a tool to ensure that fans don't skip past the opening credits, Gunn recently shared fan-made instructions for Peacemaker's intro dance, which was choreographed for the show by Charissa-Lee Barton, allowing for other fans of the show to create their own renditions of the opening credits. Most recently, Gunn shared a video of the "best-worst" recreation of the Peacemaker dance, which was purposely poorly choreographed and unsynchronized, while another video was created using LEGO figures and stop-motion animation.

"I've always had dance sequences in everything I've ever done," Gunn said in a recent behind-the-scenes video, whose films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and even The Suicide Squad, all involved a dance number of some kind. "I'm very excited to be able to create an opening that was very, very different from anything else on TV, and anything else in the DC world, for sure," Gunn noted.

After first appearing as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker in 2021's The Suicide Squad, John Cena reprised his role as the character in the HBO Max original series. Peacemaker picks up directly after the events of The Suicide Squad and sees John Cena's Christopher Smith drafted into an off-the-books mission known as Project Butterfly. He is joined by ARGUS agents Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), John Economos (Steve Agee), Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji) and Leota Abedayo (Brooks), as well as Adrian Chase/Vigilante (Freddie Stroma). Peacemaker's Season 1 finale became the best-performing episode for an HBO Max original series with the largest single-day performance on the streaming service.

When the show was first announced, Gunn called it "an opportunity to delve into current world issues through the lens of this superhero/supervillain/and world's biggest douchebag." Peacemaker's Season 1 finale saw Chris and the ARGUS agents complete their Project Butterfly mission and, following its premiere, became the best-performing episode for an HBO Max original series with the largest single-day performance on the streaming service.

Peacemaker has since been renewed for a second season and Season 1 is now streaming on HBO Max.
