Nhut Le, who plays Judomaster in HBO Max's Peacemaker, revealed his reaction to seeing himself in the costume for the first time.

While appearing on the Diversity in Film, TV, Games, Comics: How YOU Can Help! panel at WonderCon 2022, Le related seeing himself as a Funko! Pop figure to the first time he saw himself in the Judomaster costume. "It's very bizarre," Le said. "I knew it was coming. Just seeing your likeness like that. I remember the first we did a 3D scan to make my costume -- they [did] a 3D body scan of me -- and so, walking into the costume shop, I saw a life-size version of me in all white and posed like an alien and I was like, 'I look a lot shorter than I thought.'"

During the same panel, Le revealed that right before he was cast in Peacemaker, he planned to give up acting altogether. "After like 10, 11 years of not getting much traction, I was planning to move home back to Philadelphia and do pottery full time," he said. "I'm like, I've been at this for so long, sacrificing so many things and so, I was going to move and then like a week before I get offered Judomaster." In February 2021, Le was officially announced as Judomaster in The Suicide Squad spinoff series.

Created by Joe Gill and Frank McLaughlin, Hadley "Rip" Jagger, aka Judomaster, is a master of martial arts, specializing in judo and boxing. The character debuted in Charlton's Special War Series #4 in 1965 but transitioned to DC Comics during the Crisis on Infinite Earths event series. In HBO Max's Peacemaker series, Le's Judomaster acted as an ally to the alien Butterflies that had invaded the planet.

Now that he's officially made his mark in the DC Extended Universe, Le said that he would like the chance to reinvent a major Marvel Cinematic Universe character as well. "A different iteration of the Ancient One, I think, would be really interesting just because I look so young," Le said in a recent interview. "Maybe it could be like a commentary on old souls using a human vessel. I think that would be cool."

Created by James Gunn, Peacemaker picks up directly after the events of The Suicide Squad and sees John Cena's Christopher Smith drafted into an off-the-books mission known as Project Butterfly. He is joined by ARGUS agents Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), John Economos (Steve Agee), Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji) and Leota Abedayo (Brooks), as well as Adrian Chase/Vigilante (Freddie Stroma).

Peacemaker has since been renewed for a second season and Season 1 is now streaming on HBO Max.
