A few fun DC Comics Easter eggs can be found in newly released photos from the set of HBO Max's upcoming DC Extended Universe (DCEU) series, Peacemaker.The set photos, which were shared on Twitter, showcase the exterior of a home with police cars parked out front. Charlton County is a reference to Charlton Comics, the publishing company where Christopher Smith/Peacemaker made his debut before moving to DC Comics. Evergreen is the name of a city frequently featured in several Hal Jordan/Green Lantern stories.

John Cena stars as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker in both the upcoming Peacemaker TV series as well as The Suicide Squad film by James Gunn. Gunn, who serves as executive producer and main writer of Peacemaker, recently announced that the series had begun filming. "I wrote the first season of Peacemaker in eight weeks," Gunn shared on Twitter. "And now, here I am, on the first day of shooting. Life is surreal."

Written and produced by James Gunn, Peacemaker stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The eight-episode series has yet to receive an HBO Max premiere date.
