A new clip from Peacemaker sees the antihero express his feelings for Aquaman with a four-letter word.

In the scene, protagonist Christopher Smith (John Cena) is in a hospital, trying to convince janitor Jamil (Rizwan Manji) that he's free to go -- but that Jamil shouldn't tell anyone about it. Jamil admits he's terrible at keeping secrets since he hates the responsibility of it. Despite this, Smith tells Jamil that he's actually the superhero Peacemaker, which Jamil doesn't believe since Smith seems too physically bulky to be a superhero and that he's never heard of anyone named Peacemaker. Smith argues that he's famous, but Jamil counters that only real superheroes are famous, citing Aquaman as an example. Smith answers "Fuck Aquaman," which Jamil understandably takes umbrage with.

Peacemaker is a spinoff of The Suicide Squad, with writer/director James Gunn serving as the showrunner. It will focus on Cena's elite soldier, who "made a vow to have peace, no matter how people [he has] to kill to get it." Joining Cena are Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland, reprising their roles as Belle Reve warden John Economos and NSA agent Emilia Harcourt, respectively. Newcomers include Robert Patrick as Peacemaker's father Auggie Smith, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Munn and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, whom Gunn describes as the "co-lead" of the series with a different political ideology to Peacemaker.

"In the movie... Harley gets a really complete story about herself, she gets a complete arc," Gunn said when discussing why it was Peacemaker who was getting a Suicide Squad spinoff series. "Bloodsport gets a complete story. Rick Flag gets a complete story. Ratcatcher 2 gets a complete story. They all learn something about themselves -- sometimes good things, sometimes bad things -- but Peacemaker is a douche and he stays a douche and he's an asshole in the movie. But I think there's something below that."
