Canadian actor and television personality Paul Soles died last Wednesday of natural causes at the age of 90 in his hometown of Toronto.

The news came via his manager, Angela Wright, who confirmed his passing on Facebook. "Paul Soles was truly a Canadian treasure," she wrote. "He lived a long life with so many adventures along the way. RIP."

Soles was best known for voicing Spider-Man / Peter Parker in the 1967 animated Spider-Man series. He also provided the voice talent for Ox, Fakir and Vulture. His other superhero voice credits include The Marvel Superheroes, in which he voiced Bruce Banner, Attuma and Rick Jones, and Spider-Woman, where he reprised his role as the Wall-Crawler.

Soles also portrayed Hermey in the 1964 Christmas classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and was a recurring voice on the animated King Kong TV series from 1966. His live-action credits include the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film The Incredible Hulk and the Canadian TV series My 90-Year-Old Roommate, for which he just won Canadian Screen Award. He also hosted five national CBC Radio and TV series, including  Take 30, a daytime talk show for 16 years.

Soles is survived by his sister Ruth-Ellen, his wife Jean, his son Jonathan and their family.
