WARNING: This article contains potential spoilers for Ant-Man and The Wasp out in theaters on July 6!

It's difficult to keep secrets about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote Ant-Man and The Wasp, star Paul Rudd partially revealed what occurs in one of the sequel's post-credits scenes. When asked by the host how the film relates to Avengers: Infinity War and its upcoming sequel, Rudd caught himself nearly spoiling the stinger.

"People have asked me about this one and this -- all right, I don't know if I'm supposed to say this but I'll say it," Rudd began when pressed by Meyers. "[Ant-Man and The Wasp] happens kind of concurrently and it's very important because it doesn't exist in a vacuum. You have to stay through to the end because once you see this thing through those post-credit scenes -- there's some mind-blowing stuff in there that kind of ties into Infinity War and it's uh -- I think I messed up. I think I messed up, yeah."

Scott Lang's absence during the events of this year's Infinity War was addressed offhandedly as the reformed criminal reaching a deal with the government that confines him to house arrest as a result of his actions in Captain America: Civil War.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park, and Walton Goggins. The film arrives in theaters on July 6.
