Paul Rudd will follow his superhero debut in Ant-Man with a film adaptation of Jonathan Evison's novel Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, Variety reports.

Paul Rudd will play Ben Benjamin, a man who forms a deep connection with a young adult living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Through their growing friendship, the two inspire each other towards living their best lives. The novel was met with critical acclaim upon its release in 2012 and ended up on a number of year-end best of lists, including ones published by the Washington Post, Kansas City Star and Amazon.

The film will take Rudd back to Atlanta, which played host to Ant-Man last year, to begin production on Jan. 22. Late Show with David Letterman executive producer Rob Burnett is attached to adapt the novel and direct. Silvering Linings Playbook producer Donna Gigliotti is attached to produce as well. No release date has been set.

Rudd's big superhero debut came earlier this week when the first teaser trailer for Marvel's Ant-Man was unveiled during Agent Carter's premiere on ABC. Ant-Man opens on July 17.
