Patty Jenkins -- director of 2017's Wonder Woman and the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 -- has signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce new television series for the streaming giant.

According to Variety, the deal is worth $10 million dollars and spans three years. "We’re thrilled to welcome Patty Jenkins to Netflix,” said Channing Dungey, Vice President of Original Series at Netflix. "Her trailblazing work has pushed boundaries and she confidently tells stories that leave an unforgettable mark. We look forward to fostering her many ideas and helping them come to life."

"I’m so excited to embark on a great journey of making the new world of television with a company and group of people I admire as much as Ted [Sarandos], Cindy [Holland], Channing, Peter [Friedlander] and the team at Netflix," Jenkins herself added. "I look forward to digging in to some great work together soon."

Jenkins is currently working on the aforementioned Wonder Woman follow-up, serving as director, producer and co-writer on the film. 1984 is set after the events Wonder Woman but before those of Justice League.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
