Actor Patton Oswalt, who voiced the rat chef Remy in Ratatouille, had something to say about a man who couldn't grasp the pronunciation of the animated film's title.

Twitter user @AshlieD_Stevens recounted a conversation she overhead where a man told a woman that Ratatouille, a film about a Parisian rat who is also a brilliant chef, was pronounced "Rata-twa," and wouldn't admit that he was wrong when she responded with the correct pronunciation. The tweet quickly went viral, and Oswalt responded to it, saying exactly what Pixar fans were all thinking: "oh my lord."

"Mansplaining" is a modern term that refers to when a man explains something to a woman in a condescending or patronizing manner.

This hilarious tweet wasn't Oswalt's first run-in with 'splaining of some variety. Earlier this year, the actor joked about "nerdsplaining" the Green Goblin to actor Willem Dafoe, who portrayed the character in Spider-Man. Oswalt posted a photo of him speaking to Dafoe, and captioned it "...and even though the Green Goblin debuted in issue #14 it wasn't until issue #37 that he was revealed to be Norman Osborn..." Here, Oswalt was clearly making fun of himself, suggesting that he was explaining Dafoe's own role to him.

It's not a leap to assume that Oswalt does have a lot of comic-book knowledge, however, as he has guest starred in comic adaptations such as Batman Beyond, Static Shock, the Batman, Spider-Man, and Justice League Action. He also voiced the leading role in Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.

In addition to acting in comedies like Modern Family, 22 Jump Street, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Oswalt has always been quite the joker off-screen. In a 2016 interview on Conan, Oswalt attempted to sum up the Star Wars franchise. "Star Wars' Episode IV, V, and VI – the first ones – those were your 1970s, drinking, snorting-coke buddies," he said. "You got together, had fun, you got hookers together – they were great. Then they sobered up, starting getting into, like, government, how does Congress work, and got a little libertarian on you, started lecturing you about how, 'Well, there's actually these midi-chlorians, and I'm trying to eat healthier'...And now, it's like they've gone through an ugly divorce, and they're like, 'Let's get coke and go drinking again, man.' That's what The Force Awakens is."

Oswalt's upcoming projects include Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, where he voices Matthew the Raven; Absolute Dominion, a film about a 2085 A.D. martial arts tournament; and Manhunt, a TV series that recounts the hunt for Abraham Lincoln's assassin.
