Patric Caldon Promoted To Exec. VP, Finance & Operations at DC Comics

Patrick Caldon has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Finance and Operations of DC Comics and MAD Magazine, announced DC Comics President & Publisher Paul Levitz. Caldon will continue to report to Levitz.

"Patrick has long played an invaluable role in building DC's systems that keep the company performing well in every area from manufacturing to inventory management," commented Levitz. "His exemplary judgment and high standards have been instrumental in DC's recent business growth. I'm pleased to have the opportunity to acknowledge his many contributions."

Caldon was formerly Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations. His tenure at DC Comics began in 1985 when he was hired as Controller. In 1992, he was made responsible for Manufacturing and Publishing Operations and was promoted to Vice President, Finance and Operations. In 2001, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations.

Prior to joining DC Comics, Caldon spent a decade at Warner Communications in corporate accounting and as Senior Vice President and CFO of the Cosmos soccer team. In this position, Caldon was responsible for financial accounting, budgets, ticket operations and game day operations; he also assisted the Executive Vice President and General Manager with player contract negotiation and administration, for such athletes as World Cup Players Pel�, Franz Beckenbauer and Carlos Alberto.
