It has been announced that Starz is currently developing a Party Down limited revival series.

Co-creator Rob Thomas is attached and stated, "At the end of 2019, the Party Down cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture... We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again." He added, "The cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we're determined to make it happen."

The revival series is currently planned to run for six episodes and is being produced for Starz by Lionsgate Entertainment. If the revival project is given the green light, original series co-creator John Enbom will serve as the revival's showrunner.

The 2009 series followed a group of caterers for the Party Down catering company, made up of aspiring actors and writers. The series starred Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr, Jane Lynch, Jennifer Coolidge and Megan Mullally. The show was well-recieved by critics but came to an end due to low ratings in 2010 after two seasons.
