Fans were recently treated to the surprise announcement that the cast of the beloved NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation would be reuniting remotely to reprise their roles. The reunion special is in partnership with Subaru and State Farm to raise funds for Feeding America, an organization dedicated to supporting food banks for low-income households nationwide.

To help promote the special, stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman reprised their roles in a clip, as Leslie Knope checks in on a socially distancing Ron Swanson via video chat. True to his nature, Ron has taken shelter in his remote cabin where he has stored years' worth of venison jerky while practicing proper social distancing.

Organized by series co-creator Michael Schur, the 30-minute reunion special will see Leslie struggling with self-isolation during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, reaching out to her friends remotely to stay connected. In addition to Poehler and Offerman, cast members Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Retta and Jim O'Heir are all expected to appear.

Sponsors State Farm and Subaru have each pledged $150,000 to Feeding America, with NBC and the cast providing $500,000 in matching donations while urging viewers to donate to the organization as well.
