Park Seo-joon, the actor who plays Min-hyuk in Bong Joon-ho's award-winning Parasite, is reportedly banding up with The Marvels' cast as a fresh addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Park departed from South Korea to appear in a Marvel Studios film, Collider reported, adding that IMDb has been updated to reflect his contribution to the upcoming project starring Brie Larson. Park's agency did not reveal the MCU title in which he was cast nor its shooting location, although some reports about his involvement with the sequel to Captain Marvel date back to June.

Known for his roles in the Korean films Midnight Runners and The Divine Fury, as well as TV dramas She Was Pretty and Itaewon Class, Park's character in the Oscar-winning Parasite is a minor one. The forthcoming disaster-thriller Concrete Utopia and the dramedy Dream will each feature Park in lead roles. While it remains unclear exactly where in the MCU Park's place will be, his union with The Marvels has secured his spot in the expanding story world.

Development of The Marvels began in early 2020, with cameras starting to roll in April of the following year in New Jersey. The Garden State will host some principal photography for the production, as will Los Angeles and Tropea, Italy. Shooting began last month at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, as Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris suit up with Larson to take on Zawe Ashton's unknown villain.

The Marvels is currently set for release in Nov. 2022.
