Paramount Pictures released the final trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.

The trailer sees Henry Golding's Snake Eyes recruited into the Japanese Arashikage clan after sparing the life of its heir, Thomas. However, as Snake Eyes rises through the ranks to become the elite ninja warrior G.I. Joe fans know and love, Thomas is courted by Cobra's Baroness, adopting the moniker of Storm Shadow.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, as the name implies, serves as an origin story for the eponymous character and takes place before the events of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which saw Snake Eyes played by Ray Park.

"After this movie, we find ourselves yearning and wanting more," Golding said in June while discussing how Snake Eyes sets up several sequels. "This is one origin story. We have so many that can be told and one aspect of one little corner of the space. So the possibilities are endless, but I can tell you where I want this to go. We at least have three of these films to look forward, to make sure that he gets the story that he deserves."

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins arrives in theaters July 23.
