Clifford the Big Red Dog will no longer be coming to theaters. At least, for now, since Paramount Pictures has pulled the live-action adaptation from its release schedule.

According to Deadline, Clifford the Big Red Dog will no longer be hitting screens on Sept. 17 as previously announced, owing to the spread of the delta variant of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the resulting hesitation from families to head to movie theaters. Paramount is currently searching for a suitable release date for the U.S., when children, the primary target audience, will be able to go to cinemas.
