ViacomCBS has announced the United States and Latin America launch date for its new streaming service, Paramount+.

Starting Thursday, March 4, Paramount+ will be available for U.S. and Latin American markets. The Nordics will follow on March 25, with Australia in mid-2021. CBS All Access in Canada will be rebranded to Paramount+ on March 4, and an expanded offering will be available later in the year.

ViacomCBS will also host an investor event and issue fourth-quarter and full-year financial results for the period ending Dec. 31, 2020 on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The presentation will deliver a comprehensive overview of the company's streaming strategy, including Paramount+, Pluto TV and Showtime OTT.

The announcement of CBS All Access rebranding as Paramount+ came down in September 2020. It will see the release of several new series, one being an original based on the making of The Godfather. Titled The Offer, the show will adapt the behind-the-scenes experiences of producer Al Ruddy. 10 episodes have been ordered for the scripted series, which is being executive produced by Ruddy, along with Michael Tolkin, who is also attached to write the show. A Grease spinoff is also in the works.

Paramount+ will integrate a number of different networks owned by ViacomCBS, including MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, The Smithsonian Channel and many more. This follows efforts to include shows from these networks on CBS All Access over the last few years. ViacomCBS President and CEO Bob Bakish stated, "We're excited to establish one global streaming brand in the broad-pay segment that will draw on the sheer breadth and depth of the ViacomCBS portfolio."

Paramount+ launches in the U.S. and Latin America on Thursday, March 4.
