Paramount Officially Announces Les Grossman Movie

Just a day after Tom Cruise mentioned plans for a movie starring his foul-mouthed producer from Tropic Thunder, Paramount Pictures and MTV Films have announced an "Untitled Les Grossman Project."

Cruise, Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld of Red Hour Films will produce the film, penned by Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World screenwriter Michael Bacall.

The press release is actually pretty funny, with Paramount announcing that Cruise & Co. have "secured the life rights to Grossman [...] a mega producer [who] has most recently mentored talents such as Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner."

"Les Grossman's life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds," Stiller said in the release. "He has assured me he plans to quote, ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him."

Cruise "is said to be in talks to portray Grossman in the film."
