For the upcoming second season of Mayor of Kingstown, Paramount+ has removed Jeremy Renner’s facial injuries from the poster after the actor's recent snowplow accident.

The initial promotional image for the season featured Renner, who plays Mike McLusky in Mayor of Kingstown, with injuries and wounds across his face. While the actor's incident occurred weeks after the original image was released, the studio has seemingly opted to either obscure or remove any visible signs of harm from the actor.

In early 2023, Renner was seriously injured in an incident at his property in Reno, Nevada and required airlifting to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The actor had been using a snowcat to clear the snow in front of his house when he was trampled underneath the vehicle, which rolled over one of Renner's legs. According to reports, Renner sustained severe blood loss, blunt chest trauma, and other orthopedic injuries in addition to the leg wound.

Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve later revealed at a press conference that Renner was assisting a citizen who had become trapped due to the severe weather conditions. "He was helping someone stranded in the snow," Schieve said. "He is always helping others." The mayor went on to commend the actor's selfishness and describe how valuable he has been to the community. "There are a few times he'll post about what he has done or donated toys, but most of it you would never know he is doing," Schieve said.

Renner has been making progress since his ordeal and continues to update fans on his ongoing recovery following the accident. The Hawkeye actor shared a video from the hospital alongside his sister and mother, who seemed in good spirits. Renner's family issued a statement thanking medical professionals, Mayor Schieve and fans for their support during the actor’s traumatic experience. "Jeremy's family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families," reads the statement. "They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."
