Paradox Interactive teased a Christmas release for their highly expected video game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 video game in the World of Darkness Channel.

The teaser, which could only be seen at the end of the weekly news show, pictured a blurred image of a man sitting in front of a Christmas tree, surrounded by presents, set to the distorted tune of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

The teaser also ties in with the in-game storyline, which takes place in Seattle over Christmas. Most of the released footage featured local landmarks like Seattle's Pioneer Square decked out for the holidays.

The game's release date was pushed back in October 2019 to avoid issues encountered by its predecessor, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, which was rushed to market and arrived severely broken, bankrupting the studio that created it. The game became a cult classic and was patched over the years by devoted fans.

In Bloodlines 2, a first-person RPG,  the player will step in the shoes of a newly embraced, clanless Thinblood vampire -- the bottom caste of vampiric society -- as they try to survive the night by doing missions and favors for powerful factions while avoiding deadly politics, vampire hunters and the ire of their own kind. As the game advances, the player character will have to choose an allegiance among the many different groups, but will also become more powerful and knowledgeable.
