Writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Cliff Chiang's  Image Comics series Paper Girls will come to an end with issue #30 in July 2019. This announcement was made in the solicitation information for Paper Girls #26, which is set to be released on March 6.

Since starting in 2015, the series follows four girls from 1988 who get caught in a cross-time war between time-travelers.

"After surviving adventures in their past, present and future, the Paper Girls of 1988 embark on one last journey," the official synopsis for Paper Girls #26 reads. "A five-part epic that will conclude with a double-sized 30th issue in July!"

"Brian here, thanking you all so much for helping Cliff and me reach this final arc we've been planning for years," added Vaughan. "While you and your customers are waiting for Saga to return, now is a great time to get caught up on this series that I'm equally proud of. All the Paper Girls trades are still in print, featuring awesome wraparound covers that can combine to form one gorgeous mega-image on your shelves!"

Written by Brian K. Vaughan wit art by Cliff Chiang and Matt Wilson, Paper Girls #26 kicks off the comic's final storyline on March 6, 2019. Paper Girls #30, the series finale, is then slated to hit comic shops sometime in July.
