Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim was a smash success among fans of the kaiju genre, so the sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, directed by Steven S. DeKnight, has some pretty big shoes to fill. Relatively little is known about Uprising at this point. The various trailers released so far have rehashed footage of the series’ big robots, a new generation of Jaegers, clashing with kaiju even bigger than those from the original film. A new TV spot shows those Jaegers in action, attaching a name to each one.

The video names four of the new Jaegers. In truth, the names of these new Jaegers have been available since 2017, when blueprints for the various models were released. This is the first time those names have been attached to footage of the Jaegers in action, though.

Interestingly, the video only introduces the four main Jaegers, though early blueprints alluded to the presence of five. The Jaegers outlined in the video are Gipsy Avenger, Saber Athena, Bracer Phoenix and Guardian Bravo. Bracer Phoenix bears a striking resemblance to early blueprints for a Jaeger named Titan Redeemer. That Jaeger does not appear in the video, but its iconic seismic morningstar has seemingly been grafted onto the arm of Bracer Phoenix.

Debuting in theaters on March 23, Pacific Rim: Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight and stars John Boyega, Cale Boyter, Guillermo del Toro, Jon Jashni, Femi Oguns, Mary Parent and Thomas Tull.
