It's only a little over three months until Pacific Rim Uprising stomps its way over to theaters, and the hype is beginning to ramp up. This past weekend was Tokyo Comic-Con, and the sci-fi sequel came in swinging with a new behind the scenes video going into the development into the film, featuring commentary by John Boyega (Jake Pentecost), Rinko Kikuchi (Mako Mori) and Scott Eastwood (Nate Lambert).

Despite being a major player in the current Star Wars trilogy, Boyega readily calls Uprising the most action packed film he's ever worked on, and if the footage in the video below is any indication, audiences may end up agreeing with him.

When the first trailer for Uprising premiered, many were surprised at scenes of Jaegars going up against one another, since their fighting is saved for when they fight the Kaiju. Once again, scenes of mecha-on-mecha action are in this new footage, though there aren't any answers as to why that is. Whether it's a training scenario or a real fights a question we likely won't for the next few months, until the film finally debuts. But as we see in the closing moments of the footage, it sure seems like the pilots involved have a serious beef that might jeopardize their mission of defending the planet from the ever-increasing invasion from the Jaeger's dimension.

Arriving in theaters on Mar. 23, 2018, Pacific Rim Uprising stars John Boyega, Rinko Kikuchi, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Adria Arjona, Charlie Day, and Burn Gorman.Â
