10 Willow Went From A Timid Wallflower To A Big, Beautiful Rose

When first introduced, Willow Park was the epitome of a wallflower. She was bullied by her peers and constantly mocked with names like "Half-a-Witch Willow." She spent much of her life dealing with major insecurities and pent-up resentment towards her former friend, Amity Blight. It wasn't until Luz entered the Boiling Isles that things started to change for the better.

Willow managed to get onto the magic track that she truly wanted to study, and from there, things only improved. She became more confident, made amends with Amity, and stopped doubting herself. The Willow fans know today is nothing like the timid girl from the start of the series.

9 Hunter Escaped An Abusive Family And Found True Friends

Of all the denizens of the Boiling Isles, no one is in more dire need of a hug than Hunter. Introduced as the Golden Guard and nephew to series villain, Emperor Belos, Hunter seemed like a teenage version of Darth Vader. Underneath the mask, though, was more than meets the eye.

As season two progressed, fans learned that, in truth, Hunter was a kindhearted boy brought up in an emotionally abusive environment, which eventually led him to run away from Belos for good. Thankfully, Hunter found people who genuinely cared about him in the form of Luz and her friends and allies. Whatever the future may hold for Hunter, it's better than what Belos promised him.

8 Edric and Emira Became More Supportive Siblings

At first, Edric and Emira Blight seemed like stand-ins for the Weasley twins from Harry Potter, even if they weren't identical. Whereas Fred and George's pranks were more good-natured, Ed and Em were meaner, especially regarding their sister, Amity. One of their pranks even came close to getting Amity and Luz killed.

After this event, Edric and Emira started to turn over a new leaf. While they remained troublemakers, they realized that they'd been too hard on their sister and became more supportive of her and her growing sense of independence. Now, they use their pranks to help protect their friends and loved ones.

7 Eda Stopped Closing Herself Off From Others

It looked like Eda the Owl Lady was the trash-talking epitome of cool on the surface. Despite being the strongest Witch in the Boiling Isles, Eda was dealing with a lot of pain from her past. Estranged from her family and afflicted with an unwanted curse, Eda closed herself off rather than risk hurting them or getting hurt.

Having Luz enter her life was the best thing that happened to Eda. While she lost her magic, she made peace with her inner Owl Beast and strove to become a better mentor to Luz. By the end of Season Two, Eda was willing to risk losing her magic for good if it meant being able to protect the ones she loved the most.

6 King Went From Wanting to Be Worshipped To Wanting A Complete Life

In the beginning, King was known for two things: being adorable-looking and constantly proclaiming himself to be the King of Demons. The Owl House's Season Two changed all of that by revealing that he was never a king, to begin with. Rather, he was the last of the Titans.

These repeated revelations destroyed the arrogance that was once King's defining trait. Despite learning he's essentially a god that the Demons of the Boiling Isles would worship, King no longer wants to be worshiped at all. He just wants people to simply see him as a boy named King.

5 Lilith Let Go Of Her Guilt And Insecurities

On the other end of the spectrum is the older Clawthorne sibling, Lilith. Lilith seemed to have it all, serving as the leader of the Emperor's Coven and the right hand to Emperor Belos. Despite this, she was, in truth, wracked by guilt over accidentally cursing Eda when they were kids. Her misguided attempts to help her sister led to the two coming to blows before she finally realized the error of her ways.

Despite giving up her magic and status to help relieve the burden of Eda's curse, as a former villain, Lilith is in a better place than ever before. She and Eda mended their sibling bond, she reconnected with her parents, and she's a far happier person than she ever was under Belos.

4 Principal Bump Became A More Open-Minded Teacher

While not as prominent as other cast members, Principal Bump has grown a lot during The Owl House's run. As the head of Hexside School of Magic and Demonics, Bump once strictly enforced the idea of only studying a single form of magic at school. It wasn't until Luz and other rebellious students saved the school that things began to change.

Now seeing the value in letting students study different kinds of magic, Bump agreed to let all students pick more than one track to learn, improving Hexside. Even when the Emperor's Coven tried to force everyone into a single Coven, he stood by this decision.

3 Gus Learned To Stop Doubting Himself

Despite being a magical prodigy who skipped several grades in school, Gus Porter was not without his problems. He was teased because people considered his illusion magic useless in the real world. Also, his young age led his peers to either look down on him or manipulate him to their advantage. Both these factors left him with major insecurities about himself.

Things came to a head in the Season Two episode "Labyrinth Runners," when Gus's magic affected the entire school. Thankfully, his friends managed to pull him out of his spiral and make him see his self-worth. Now, Gus is a force to be reckoned with.

2 Amity Blight Went From Queen Bee To Sweet Potato

The Amity Blight fans know today is nothing like the one first introduced in "I Was a Teenage Abomination." In her debut episode, Amity seemed like the stereotypical Queen Bee who thought she was better than everyone around her. As the show went on, it became apparent that the truth was more complicated.

Despite all of her prowess and success, Amity was very lonely and unhappy with her life, thanks to the influence of her abusive mother. It took the arrival of Luz to convince her to be the person she wanted to be. And while she first hated Luz, it wasn't long before she fell in love with the human girl, and they became a couple.

1 Luz Found People That Love Her, Quirks And All

When she first came to the Boiling Isles, Luz Noceda thought she'd get the chance to live out her Isekai fantasies, only to get a rude awakening. Instead of the wish-fulfillment she thought she'd get, the Boiling Isles made Luz realize that no matter what world she's in, she'll always face problems like bullies, self-esteem issues, and fighting to be accepted for herself.

Despite the Boiling Isles giving her plenty of trouble, Luz has refused to let her new environment break her. Instead, her experiences have given her a new sense of responsibility and a desire to stand up for what's right. Moreover, Luz's strength, good nature and optimism led most of the aforementioned characters to change for the better.
