Overwatch 2
The Overwatch franchise continues with Overwatch 2, the sequel to Blizzard's team-based PVP online shooter. Marking a significant departure from the original, Overwatch 2 reduced its team size from 6v6 to 5v5. In addition, it switched from a full-priced entry into a free-to-play model available on all modern consoles. The sequel also has changed how players earn cosmetics and other items, as Blizzard has opted for a season pass system prevalent in the genre instead of the loot box system in the original title. Additionally, players will be able to engage in more cooperative play in PVP and in a new PvE mode where players group together in teams of four against computer-controlled opponents. Overwatch 2 will allow players to play one of thirty heroes at launch and one of three classes when it launches on October 4 2022.
