Since launching in 2008's Iron Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had to find new and interesting ways for characters to take each other down. However, over the course of the Infinity Saga, there were a ton of powerful attacks that only got used once, despite how well they could have worked against other villains.

We're starting off this list with when Doctor Strange took down Dormammu in his first film. While Doctor Strange was still relatively new to the mystic arts, he proved himself more than capable of taking down that powerful being thanks to the Time Stone. Each time Doctor Strange lost against Dormammu, he used the Time Stone to turn back the clock until the powerful force finally admitted defeat. This was a defining hero moment for Doctor Strange, showing his intelligence in taking down overwhelming odds. While Doctor Strange sort of used the Time Stone for similar reasons in Avengers: Infinity War, he seemingly didn't rewind time at all during the actual fight with Thanos, which could have helped the team defeat the Mad Titan before his Snap.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Still, it's unlikely any of these attacks will come back, despite how effective they could be against whatever deadly foes will soon assail the MCU.
