Paramount Pictures has unleashed the explosive final trailer for Overlord, the World War II horror film produced by J.J. Abrams.

Directed by Julius Avery from a script by Billy Ray and Mark L. Smith, Overlord follows a small group of U.S. paratroopers shot down on the eve of D-Day behind enemy lines in France, where they discover a secret German compound, home to horrific experiments intended to create a “thousand-year army.”

With only hours until D-Day, a team of American paratroopers drop into Nazi-occupied France to carry out a mission that's crucial to the invasion's success. Tasked with destroying a radio transmitter atop a fortified church, the desperate soldiers join forces with a young French villager to penetrate the walls and take down the tower. But, in a mysterious Nazi lab beneath the church, the outnumbered G.I.s come face-to-face with enemies unlike any the world has ever seen. From producer J.J. Abrams, Overlord is a thrilling, pulse-pounding action adventure with a twist.

Clocking it an just short of a minute, it's more of a teaser than a full-fledged trailer, playing up early reviews while offering glimpses at some of the horrors hiding in this unassuming French village.

REVIEW: Overlord Is (Almost) Everything You Want From a Zombie Nazi Movie

Overlord hovers at an impressive 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes following its world premiere last month at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. CBR's Justin Jones described the film as "trash in the best of ways: packed with tension, body horror and blood-soaked images of history’s worst villains meeting their ends."

Arriving Nov. 9 from Paramount Pictures, Overlord stars Jovan Adepo, John Magno, Wyatt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, Pilou Asbaek, Jacob Anderson and Iain De Caestecker.
