Albedo is a prominent character in Overlord, a web novel that has also been adapted into a light novel, manga, and anime. She serves as the Overseer of the Great Tomb's Guardians, managing and supervising the Floor Guardians. Believing the game to be shut down, she was programmed to fall in obsessively love with Ainz, formerly known as Momonga, as a joke.

She goes on to become Ainz's self-proclaimed wife and obsesses with him accepting her love. Her wings and pure white dress are a little misleading: she's a succubus dressed like an angel. And when it comes to demons, often the most alluring tend to be the ones to really be afraid of. After all, it's implied that's not her true form. However, when it comes to fans, appearances work a bit differently. Some fans are so inspired that they create their own artwork dedicated to the character, sometimes adding their own personal touch.

10 Photorealistic Albedo

From artist 10Juu, Albedo is given a fair appearance in this fan art piece, which uses a more photorealistic art style than the character's more typical animesque look. Because of the change in style, more details have been added to Albedo's appearance, from the ruffles on her dress to her horns' lines.

With a coy smile on her face, she also appears to be wearing a light lipstick. Her cat-like eyes are also rather prominent.

9 Illuminated Albedo

In this fan art from sishenfan, Albedo is seen covered in light and standing upright in an alluring yet calm and modest manner.

The light on Albedo's normally black wings almost making them look white, or at least a lighter shade of grey, highlighting the theme of Albedo's angelic appearance contrasting her succubus nature. On the other hand, this light is possible, and her kindly appearance could represent her love for Ainz. After all, he could be the one she's looking at.

8 Albedo And Momonga

Ainz

Albedo is seen with her beloved Ainz, here identified as Momonga, standing right in back of her. The two are drawn in a somewhat cartoonish style compared to their usual animesque appearance. Albedo is also notably wearing what appears to be black lipstick.

In a hashtag, the artist compares the couple to the famous fairy tale, "Beauty and the Beast," another couple that was seemingly mismatched in appearance.

7 Smiling Albedo

In this profile picture from UglyTree, Albedo's shining face is given focus Lights resembling stars appear to surround her, shining a light in her face, almost hiding the colors in her eyes.

The lights color Albedo's hair, adding various violet, blue, and yellow shades, even white at points, almost making it look like a raven's feather. This is also appropriate, given her black wings.

6 Albedo With 3F

In this picture from ofSkySociety, Albedo looks like she's just about to attack, standing right in front of Ainz, suggesting she's about to go on the attack on his behalf. Given a slightly more realistic art style than the characters' traditional appearance. Albedo can be seen wearing red lipstick. She also can be seen showing more leg than she does in other pieces of fan art.

She's notably holding her 3F weapon, a powerful offensive weapon that can change its size. Under Ainz's orders, Albedo has to use different weapons for different situations, as she is forbidden from removing certain weapons from the Great Tomb.

5 New Gothic Albedo

In this piece from Christian-Angel, Albedo can be seen sitting on a throne decorated with skulls. Plants seem to decorate the image, creating an interesting contrast between life and death.

The image has something of a new gothic, or neo-gothic, design, with the whites of her eyes looking more grey, highlighting the yellow of her irises. Her curled lips almost give the impression of a Glasgow smile.

4 Purple Albedo

In art and animation, sometimes other colors are used to substitute for black, such as dark blue or purple. In this piece from _toffee_lord_, not only is Albedo's normally dark hair colored in shades of purple and black but her normally black wings also follow suit.

With her large eyes and large mouth, especially focusing on her teeth, Albedo is given a much more animalistic appearance than she is often given, suggesting that she is ready for the attack.

3 Fallen Angel Albedo

In this piece from sairenzu, Albedo's theme is that she's a "fallen angel," as showcased in the text in the picture. She even appears with a shining halo floating above her head. She appears to have a coy smile in both images, almost looking like she has fangs.

Taking advantage of uploading the work on Instagram, two versions are available: Albedo is covered in shadow and another where she is covered in light.

2 Albedo And A Skull

In a famous scene from Shakespeare's classic Hamlet, the Danish prince holds the skull of his once-beloved clown, Yorick, and muses of the reality of death. In this picture posted by Wayssine316, Albedo can be seen in a similar position, holding what appears to be a skull adorned with roses.

There are different ways the picture can be interpreted. The skull can represent Ainz, a reminder of the one she loves. It's also possible that the skull indeed belongs to Ainz, who has met some unfortunate happenings.

1 Albedo With A Bouquet

In this image posted by Akedus, Albedo is seen invoking the image of a bride. She holds a bouquet in her hands, which, likely as a personal touch, contains a skull among the flowers. Carrying herself like a bride, her wings follow behind her, almost like a wedding train, as her feathers fly around her.

It makes sense that she'd be a bride: she is already dressed in white after all. That said, Albedo has a shy, dreamy look on her face, as if this is merely her imagining things to comeーnot that brides can't be nervous on their wedding day.
