Ouran High School Host Club is getting a third and final stage adaptation.

As detailed on Anime News Network, the upcoming stage musical, titled Kageki Ouran High School Host Club Fine, will debut in Tokyo this December. According to the production's official website, this will be the final stage version of Bisco Hatori's beloved manga, which revolves around a teenage girl named Haruhi Fujioka who poses as a male member of her school's host club in order to pay off debt on a broken vase.

Ouran Highschool Host Club's Musical Includes Returning Cast & Crew

The staff and cast from past productions are returning to create Kageki OHSHC Fine, including Director Kazuhito Yoneyama and Scriptwriter Muck Akazawa. Yu is also returning to create the show's music. The cast from the second stage musical will return to reprise their respective roles. Yuka Yamauchi and Junya Komatsu star as Haruhi Fujioka and Tamaki Suoh, respectively. Masamitchi Satonaka plays Kyoya Ootori, Yu Futaba plays Hikaru Hitachiin and Kaname Futaba plays his brother, Kaoru. Ginga Shitara plays Mitsukini "Honey" Haninozuka and Shogo Tazuru plays Takashi Morinozuka. Mizuki Saito plays the overzealous fangirl Renge Hoshakuji.

The 2nd stage production of OHSHC, titled Kageki Ouran High School Host Club f, ran at Tokyo's Tennozu Galaxy Theater from Dec. 2-11. The second round of performances took place at Osaka's Sankei Hall Breeze from Dec. 17-18. Chobi Natsuki directed the first musical adaptation, which ran in Tokyo's Tennozu Galaxy Theater and Osaka's Mielparque Hall back in January 2022. OHSHC also received adaptations for film and television. 2011 saw the release of a live-action OHSHC TV drama starring Haruna Kawaguchi (Say 'I Love You' live-action) as Haruhi Fujioka. Kawaguchi and most of the main cast reprised their respective roles in Choru Han's 2012 film adaptation of OHSHC.

One of the more popular adaptations of OHSHC is BONES' 26-episode anime series, which aired from April 2006 to September 2006. Takuya Igarashi (Soul Eater, Bungo Stray Dogs) directed the series, while Yoji Enokido (Revolutionary Girl Utena) wrote the script. The show starred Maaya Sakamoto (Fruits Basket, The Seven Deadly Sins) as Haruhi Fujioka and Mamoru Miyano (Free!-EternalSummer, Bungo Stray Dogs) as Tamaki Suoh. Additional cast includes Masaya Matsukaze as Kyoya Ootori, Kenichi Suzumura as Hikaru Hitachiin, Yoshinori Fujita as Kaoru Hitachiin, Ayaka Saito as Mitsukini "Honey" Haninozuka and Daisuke Kirii as Takashi Morinozuka.

Kageki OHSHC Fine debuts this December. BONES anime adaptation is available on Netflix. Bisco Hatori's manga is available in English from VIZ.
